AMS is currently offering instruction with weekend trips for various adventure sports. Join AMS for rock climbing, caving, paddling, cycling, backpacking and more. A private climbing wall allows for hands-on experience in a safe and controlled environment.

AMS offers introductory classes every Thursday night at 8:00 pm in the store. Participants then travel on the weekends to experience the real thing.

Climbing Wall

• $7.50 per visit, $5.00 with your own gear.
• Monthly membership with unlimited use $60.00 (No Contract). Group rates available. Rates include use of AMS equipment.
• The wall is open for general use unless previously scheduled by AMS for a private party. If you intend to walk in and use the wall, it is recommended that you call in advance to insure there is space available to climb.
• Participation in a Safety and Competency certification class ($12.50 on the first visit) is required prior to using the climbing wall.

AMS is currently sponsoring all local Appalachian Trail thru hikers by providing all equipment, food and supplies at a discount. We will work with thru hikers on mail drops and other needs while hiking the trail. Membership in the Appalachian Trail Conference in Harpers Ferry, WV, is expected. We support every effort to maintain the trail locally and nationally and encourage it's use as a great regional outdoor treasure.
